Common questions
Getting started
Open the Caregivers tab and tap Invite. Say who they are to your baby, add their email address, and send it.
The invite then sits under Pending invites. Tap it there to show a QR code, copy the link, or read out the code, if any of those is easier than waiting on email.
They install HappyCub, open the invite, and land on your baby’s log. Invite as many people as you like. Caregivers cost nothing extra.
Invites don’t last forever. If the code has stopped working by the time they get to it, send a fresh one from the same screen.
Tap the link. If you already have HappyCub, it opens straight to the right baby. If you don’t, it sends you to install the app first.
Once it’s installed, tap the invite link again. If that doesn’t connect you, open the app and type in the code from the invite instead. It looks like K4P2-9XQM. Capitals don’t matter. Include the dash.
Yes. Every entry carries the name of whoever made it, so you can see that the noon bottle was the nanny and the 2:30 vitamin was Grandma. A shared login loses that.
Caregivers & access
Two levels, set by the relationship you pick when you invite them. Choose Parent and they get full access, including inviting and removing people. Every other relationship makes them a Helper: they read the log and add to it, but don’t manage who else is on it.
Invite a helper and they see the whole log. Narrowing that is a separate, deliberate step under Caregivers, tap their name, then Edit access.
Two permission switches live there. One lets them add milestones; they can always see everyone else’s either way. The other only applies to someone you have put on a schedule, and it widens what they see rather than narrowing it: it hands them the 12 hours before their shift starts, so the sitter arriving at 9 sees the 7am feed.
Yes. Go to Caregivers, tap their name, Edit access, then When they have access. Leave it on All the time, pick Specific dates, or set Recurring days with the weekdays they work and a start and end time. Shifts that run past midnight are fine.
Schedules follow your baby’s home timezone, not wherever a phone happens to be. Parents always have access and can’t be put on a schedule.
Open Caregivers, tap their name, Edit access, then Remove access. If they never accepted, the invite is under Pending invites with a Revoke button instead.
Yes, type by type and baby by baby. Go to Settings, tap your baby, then the Notifications section. Feeds, sleep, diapers, vitamins, medication, and notes each have their own switch, and one control pauses all of them. Feeds are on to begin with. The rest are one switch away.
Subscriptions & billing
$7.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial, or $64.99 a year. Purchased through Apple. The price, and any trial, are shown on the subscription screen before you buy.
One subscription covers one child and everyone caring for them. Caregivers cost nothing. Each additional child needs a separate subscription.
The log stays readable, with no time limit and nothing deleted. It becomes read-only: new entries and edits need a subscription for that child.
Cancel in your Apple account: Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. Do it at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Access continues to the end of the paid period. Full terms are in the Terms of Service.
Refunds are requested from and decided by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase. If Apple declines, you can send us a message below.
Your data & privacy
The people you invited, and no one else. We don’t sell it, don’t share it for advertising, and the app carries no third-party ad networks.
The one exception is a shared timer link, if you create one. Anyone holding it can see that single running timer, including your baby’s first name, until it ends. The Privacy Policy covers the rest.
In the app: Settings, then Delete account. You sign in again to confirm, and it can’t be undone.
What happens next depends on your household. If you own a baby’s account and other people are still on it, the app asks you to hand it over first, with Transfer ownership on the Caregivers screen.
If deleting yours would leave a child with nobody on the account, you are asked to type DELETE first, because that child’s profile, log, and photos go with it.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel that in your Apple account. The Privacy Policy lists what deletion removes and what is kept unlinked from you.
You can delete your account yourself: Settings, then Delete account. For a copy, a correction, or anything the app can’t do, send the request through the form below and say which you want.
The Privacy Policy sets out these rights in full, including the California and GDPR sections and how a request is handled. It also names the address to send a formal request to, from your account address, which is the route to use if you would rather put it in writing. There is no fee either way.
